Soft in the center, slightly crisp on the edges, and packed with deep chocolate flavor, these easy cookies turn a simple box of brownie mix into a rich homemade-style dessert everyone loves. Perfect when you need a quick sweet treat without starting from scratch.
Ingredients
1 box (18 oz) brownie mix
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon water
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans optional
1/4 cup powdered sugar optional for dusting
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the brownie mix and flour.
Add the eggs, vegetable oil, and water.
Stir until a thick cookie dough forms.
Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using.
Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the edges are set but the centers remain soft.
Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely.
Dust lightly with powdered sugar if desired before serving.
Tips
Do not overbake or the cookies can become dry.
For extra richness, add white chocolate chips or caramel bits.
Chill the dough for 15 minutes if it feels too sticky to handle.
Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
