Ingredients
- 1 small green cabbage, chopped
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 can (15 oz / 425 g) diced tomatoes, with juice
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste (optional, for richer flavor)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
- Add the onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in the tomato paste, paprika, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Add the diced tomatoes and Worcestershire sauce, then mix well.
- Add the chopped cabbage a handful at a time, stirring until it begins to wilt.
- Cover and cook for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Storage
