Ingredients
- 10 fresh or dried soursop leaves (washed thoroughly)
- 4 cups (1 liter) of water
- Optional:
- 1 teaspoon honey
- A slice of fresh ginger
- Lemon juice to taste
Method
- Rinse the soursop leaves well under running water.
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the 10 leaves.
- Reduce the heat and simmer gently for 7–10 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and let steep for another 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea into a cup.
- Add honey, ginger, or lemon if desired.
- Drink warm.
Serving
- 1 cup per day is generally considered a moderate traditional amount.
- Avoid excessive consumption, especially over long periods.
