Baked Roasted Cauliflower Steaks

Baked Roasted Cauliflower Steaks

Ingredients

  • 1 large cauliflower head
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric (optional, for color and flavor)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Remove the outer leaves from the cauliflower and trim the stem, keeping the core intact. Slice the cauliflower into thick “steaks” (about 2 cm thick).
  3. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, paprika, turmeric, cumin, salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
  4. Place the cauliflower steaks on the baking sheet and brush both sides generously with the seasoning mixture.
  5. Roast in the oven for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and tender.
  6. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top during the last 5 minutes of baking (optional).
  7. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.

Tips

  • Don’t cut the slices too thin, or they may fall apart.
  • Add a drizzle of tahini or yogurt sauce for extra flavor.
  • You can spice it up with curry powder or smoked paprika.

  • Low in carbs and calories
