Ravioli Lasagna with Ground Beef and Cheese

Ingredients
1 (25 oz) bag frozen cheese ravioli
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
1 (14 oz) can crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
Fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook for about 3 minutes until softened.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
  5. Stir in marinara sauce, crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 5–7 minutes.
  6. Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
  7. Add a layer of frozen ravioli over the sauce.
  8. Spoon more meat sauce over the ravioli and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  9. Repeat the layers (ravioli, sauce, cheese) until ingredients are used, finishing with cheese on top.
  10. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the final layer.
  11. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  12. Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  13. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
