Cheesy Meatballs

Cheesy Meatballs
These cheesy meatballs are my husband’s ultimate weakness. He can finish the entire tray by himself

Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 large egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus extra for topping)
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
1/2 cup marinara sauce (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a baking dish.

Prepare Meatball Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef or turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Add Cheese: Gently fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, ensuring it is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Form Meatballs: Using your hands or a small ice cream scoop, form the mixture into balls about 1 to 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet or dish, ensuring they are not touching each other.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and no longer pink in the center.

Add More Cheese: Remove the meatballs from the oven and sprinkle additional shredded cheddar cheese on top of each meatball. Return to the oven and bake for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Optional – Add Sauce: If using marinara sauce, you can heat it in a small saucepan while the meatballs are baking. Serve the meatballs with the warm marinara sauce for dipping or drizzling.

Garnish and Serve: Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired. Serve hot and enjoy watching them disappear quickly!

Notes:
You can customize the meatballs by adding other ingredients like chopped onions, bell peppers, or different types of cheese.
These meatballs can also be served on sub rolls for delicious meatball subs.
Enjoy your cheesy meatballs!
