Ingredients
2 lbs chicken wings, split and tips removed
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Lightly grease the rack.
Pat the chicken wings completely dry using paper towels. This step is essential for crispy wings.
Place the wings in a large bowl and sprinkle the baking powder evenly over them. Toss well to coat all sides.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, olive oil, honey, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
Add the wings to the sauce and mix until every piece is well coated.
Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack, leaving space between each wing.
Bake for 25 minutes, then flip the wings and bake for another 20–25 minutes until golden brown, crispy, and caramelized.
For extra crispiness, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end, watching closely.
Remove from the oven, let rest for 5 minutes, and serve hot.
