Slow Cooker Pork Ribs (Tender & Juicy)

Ingredients
2–3 lbs pork ribs
1 cup BBQ sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (optional, for extra tenderness)

Instructions

  1. Prep the ribs
Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness. Pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Season
In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub this mixture all over the ribs.
  3. Arrange in slow cooker
Place the ribs standing up along the sides of the slow cooker (like in the picture) or layer them if needed.
  4. Add sauce
Pour BBQ sauce over the ribs and drizzle the apple cider vinegar if using.
  5. Cook
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until the ribs are very tender.
  6. Optional finishing (recommended)
Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F). Place ribs on a baking tray, brush with extra BBQ sauce, and bake for 10–15 minutes until caramelized and slightly crispy.
