BBQ Chicken Drumsticks

Ingredients

8–10 chicken drumsticks
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels. This helps the skin become crispy while baking.
  3. Place the drumsticks in a large bowl. Add olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and chili powder. Toss well so the chicken is evenly coated.
  4. Arrange the drumsticks on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Bake for 35 minutes.
  6. Remove the tray from the oven and brush each drumstick generously with BBQ sauce.
  7. Return the chicken to the oven and bake for another 10–15 minutes, until the sauce becomes sticky and the chicken is fully cooked.
  8. For extra caramelization, broil the drumsticks for 2–3 minutes at the end (watch carefully so they don’t burn).

Tips
