
Ground Beef Tortilla Wrap Recipe
Ingredients
500 g ground beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion finely chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder optional
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons tomato paste or ketchup
1/4 cup water or beef broth
To assemble
6 to 8 large flour tortillas
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 cup diced tomatoes
1/2 cup sliced onions or red onions
1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or mozzarella
Optional sauces mayonnaise ketchup hot sauce or yogurt sauce
Preparation
Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until soft and lightly golden.
Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the ground beef to the pan.
Break it up with a spoon and cook until fully browned.
Drain excess fat if needed.
Season the beef with paprika cumin chili powder salt and black pepper.
Stir well to coat the meat evenly with spices.
Add the tomato paste and water or broth.
Mix well and let simmer for 5 to 7 minutes until juicy but not watery.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Warm the tortillas in a dry pan or microwave until soft and flexible.
Assembly
Place a warm tortilla flat on a plate.
Add a generous spoon of ground beef in the center.
Top with lettuce tomatoes onions and shredded cheese.
Drizzle with your preferred sauce.
Fold the sides inward then roll tightly from the bottom to form a wrap.
Serving
Serve immediately while warm.
Great with fries salad or roasted vegetables.
Perfect for lunch dinner or meal prep.
Storage
Store leftover beef filling in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheat before assembling fresh wraps.
