METHOD TO RESTORE A BURNT PAN

METHOD TO RESTORE A BURNT PAN

Ingredients
Baking soda
White vinegar
Dish soap
Hot water
Steel wool or abrasive sponge
Paper towels or cloth

Steps

  1. Remove loose residue
Scrape off any loose burnt food from the bottom of the pan using a spoon or spatula.
  2. Apply baking soda
Cover the entire burnt area generously with baking soda. Make sure it forms a thick layer.
  3. Add vinegar
Slowly pour white vinegar over the baking soda. It will fizz. Let this reaction work for 10 to 15 minutes.
  4. Add hot water
Pour hot water over the pan until the bottom is submerged. Let it soak for 30 to 60 minutes. For extreme burns, leave it overnight.
  5. Scrub
Use steel wool or a rough sponge to scrub in circular motions. Apply firm pressure. Add more baking soda if needed.
  6. Wash with dish soap
Rinse the pan, then wash thoroughly with dish soap and warm water.
  7. Dry and polish
Dry immediately with a cloth. If desired, lightly rub a drop of cooking oil on the bottom to restore shine.

Extra strong option (for very thick burns)
Mix baking soda with a little dish soap to make a paste
Spread it on the pan
Cover with paper towels soaked in vinegar
Leave for 1–2 hours
Scrub and rinse

Result
The burnt black layer lifts off, revealing clean metal underneath, just like the final image.

If you want, I can also give a no-scrub method, a natural-only method, or a method for non-stick or cast iron pans.
