INGREDIENTS (Serves 6–8)
Main Ingredients
- 6–8 beef or chicken sausages (hot dogs work too)
- 1 sheet puff pastry OR pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 150–200 g mozzarella or cheddar cheese (sticks or grated)
Optional Add-Ins (Highly Recommended 😋)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp dried oregano or thyme
- Mustard or ketchup (for inside or serving)
For Brushing
- 1 egg (beaten) OR
- 2 tbsp melted butter (for a softer crust)
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Prepare the Oven
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper
Prep the Sausages
- Slice each sausage lengthwise (don’t cut all the way through)
- Insert cheese inside the slit

Prepare the Dough
- Roll out puff pastry or dough on a lightly floured surface
- Cut into long strips, wide enough to wrap around the sausage
Wrap Them Up
- Place the cheese-stuffed sausage on the dough strip
- Roll tightly but don’t seal completely — leave tiny gaps for cheese to escape (important!)
- Place seam-side down on the tray
Brush & Season
- Brush with beaten egg or melted butter
- Sprinkle lightly with:
- Garlic powder
- Paprika
- Black pepper
- Dried herbs
Bake to Golden Perfection
- Bake for 20–25 minutes
- Until:
- Dough is golden and flaky
- Cheese bubbles out (the BEST part )

- Use cheese sticks instead of grated for bigger cheese pull
- If cheese leaks too much, don’t worry — it crisps up and tastes amazing
