Ingredients
: 64 pecan halves, 11 oz baking/cooking caramels, 1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips, parchment paper or silicone baking mat. Instructions: Arrange pecan halves in clusters of three or four on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Unwrap the caramels, place them in a microwave-safe bowl, and heat in short intervals until fully melted and smooth. Spoon a small amount of warm caramel over each pecan cluster, making sure it drapes and sticks the nuts together. Let the caramel set slightly until it firms up. Melt the chocolate chips in another microwave-safe bowl, warming in intervals and stirring until smooth. Spoon melted chocolate over the caramel-pecan clusters, completely or partially covering them depending on your preference. Tap the tray gently to smooth the tops. Allow the candies to cool at room temperature or place in the fridge until fully set. Once hardened, peel them off the parchment and store them in an airtight container. These homemade turtle candies are rich, crunchy, buttery, and perfect for gifting or snacking. Enjoy.
