To remove limescale and clean your iron, salt and vinegar together are excellent. Mix one part vinegar with one part salt in a saucepan. Heat the mixture until the vinegar boils. With this mixture it is necessary to cover the cold plate of the iron, spreading it with a cloth or newspaper. Rub well until the stains and dirt you want to eradicate disappear completely : you will see that your iron will be as good as new.
