Bala Herbal Decoction (For Pain Relief & Inflammation)

Ingredients:
- Dried Sida cordifolia (Bala) leaves or roots – 2 tablespoons
- Water – 3 cups
- Turmeric powder – ½ teaspoon
- Dry ginger powder – ½ teaspoon (optional, boosts anti-inflammatory effect)
- Black pepper – 5 crushed peppercorns
- Honey – 1 teaspoon (optional, for taste)
Instructions:
- Preparation:
- Wash the Bala leaves (or roots) thoroughly if using fresh.
- If using dried form, lightly crush them to release the essential oils.
- Boiling:
- Add the Bala, turmeric, dry ginger, and black pepper to 3 cups of water in a stainless steel pot.
- Bring it to a boil and let it simmer gently for 20–25 minutes until the water reduces to 1 cup.
- Straining:
- Strain the decoction using a fine sieve or cloth to remove solids.
- Sweetening (Optional):
- Let it cool slightly and stir in 1 teaspoon of honey if desired.
- Serving:
- Drink warm, preferably on an empty stomach in the morning, or twice daily for chronic conditions.

- Sesame oil – 1 cup
- Water – 1 cup
Method:
- Mix everything and heat gently until the water evaporates (leave only oil).
- Cool and store in a clean bottle.
- Massage gently into joints and muscles daily before a bath.
