Ingredients:

  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 ready-made pie crust or homemade pie crust
  • 1 beaten egg (for brushing)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Filling:
  • In a large skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat.
  • Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Then add the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Cook until the vegetables are soft.
  • Stir in the flour and cook for an additional minute. Add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Cook the mixture until it thickens.
  • Stir in the frozen peas and cook for another minute. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  1. Prepare the Pie:
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
  • Roll out the pie crust and place it in a pie dish.
  • Add the meat and vegetable mixture to the crust.

  • Roll out the top crust and place it over the filling, pressing the edges together to seal the pie.
  • Make small slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  • Brush the top with the beaten egg.
  1. Bake:
  • Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  • Let the pie cool slightly before serving.
