Creamy Blender Dessert
Ingredients
- 2 cups of milk (whole, skim, or almond milk)
- 1 can of sweetened condensed milk (approximately 14 ounces)
- 1 can of evaporated milk (approximately 12 ounces)
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- Caramel sauce (optional, to cover the mold)
Instructions
- Prepare the caramel (optional):
- In a pan, melt a cup of sugar over medium heat until it turns into golden caramel. Be careful not to let it burn, as it will taste bitter.
- Pour the hot caramel into the bottom of a flan mold or a mold of your choice and let it cool while you prepare the dessert mixture.
- Blend the ingredients:
- In a blender, add the milk, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt.
- Blend on high speed for about 2-3 minutes until the mixture is smooth and homogeneous.
- Pour the mixture:
- Pour the blended mixture into the mold prepared with the caramel. If not using caramel, simply pour the mixture into a clean mold.
- Bake in a water bath:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Place the mold with the mixture in a larger baking pan and fill the pan with hot water halfway up the sides of the mold to create a water bath.
- Bake for about 1 hour, or until the dessert is set and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool and unmold:
- Let the dessert cool to room temperature. Then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- To unmold, run a knife around the edges of the mold and carefully invert it onto a large plate.
