Cajun Honey Butter Salmon

Cajun Honey Butter Salmon

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets, skinless or with skin, salted and seasoned to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
  • Fresh lemon wedges, for serving
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Salmon:
    • Season the salmon fillets with salt, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Make sure the fillets are evenly coated with the seasoning.
  2. Make the Honey Butter Sauce:
    • In a small bowl, mix together the honey and butter. Heat this mixture in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds, or until the butter is melted. Stir well to combine.
  3. Cook the Salmon:
    • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the seasoned salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down if using skin-on fillets. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  4. Glaze the Salmon:
    • During the last minute of cooking, pour the honey butter sauce over the salmon fillets. Spoon the sauce over the salmon to coat it evenly.
  5. Serve:
    • Transfer the Cajun Honey Butter Salmon to a serving plate. Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges. Serve hot with your favorite side dishes, such as steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
